Create a Wardrobe Foundation 

I added the following video because it lists the must-have basics to any wardrobe, which can help you build your own wardrobe. Once you have the basic clothing items, which are usually neutral, solid, and classic pieces, you can then add the fun, trendy clothes and accessories to bring out your individual personality and make your outfit more fun and creative. I liked the basics listed in this video because it lists the type of clothes I often buy, whether for work or weekend, but such items can easily be transformed by just changing up certain items.

Although the video lists these pieces as "work" clothes, it just means that these pieces are more traditional, classic and timeless, which are often worn in the professional environment because they aren't distracting.

Therefore, before you create your desired wardrobe, it is important to create a solid foundation in your closet. Everything needs a solid foundation before you can build it and make it grow in the right direction.
