October 2017 Fashion Update

I recently received the October 2017 issue of California Style magazine from South Coast Plaza. I browse to see if anything stands out as different and interesting from September 2017 fall lineup, but still adds to my September fall wardrobe.

1. Babouches--Moroccan slippers--in which I have 2 souvenirs from family who went to Morocco.

2. Clothes and accessories have colorful graphic arts. Also, silk slipdress is making a comeback.

3. Jewelry includes chain links of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and belts in gold, silver, and other metals.

4. October Makeup is all about smokey eyes, nude lipstick, and natural blush. Black eyeliner pencil is used to define and outline the eyes. Hair is sleeked back, preferably with a headband.

5. Overalls seem to be popular again, but I haven't worn mine since my college years.

6. The color blue is popular for October. Consider a monochromatic blue outfit in one shade or a monochromatic blue outfit in different shades of blue. Some blue shades to consider include denim blue, indigo, cobalt, cerulean, and other muted blue shades.

7. Bold Floral, houndstooth, herringbone, and bold graphic arts.

8. Bold colors of bright pink, peach, green, orange, and apricot.

9. Different textures such as fake fur jacket or vest, fake feather accessory, and fake fur purse in a bold color.

10. large totes, water bottle, quartz crystals, sneakers, and colorful boots.
